What are the hours of the library?
We are open:
7:45am-3:00pm, Monday - Friday.
When do students have access to the library?
Students may visit the library during homeroom and during a study hall. If you plan to visit during a study hall, please check the online calendar on the library webpage. To visit during study hall, students should obtain a pass from their study hall. Students also regularly come into the library with scheduled classes to complete research projects of various lengths on many topics.
How many books may students borrow at the same time?
Students can check out 2 books at a time and 1 magazine. E-book checkout is also available from the online catalog, Destiny. E-books are automatically returned at the end of the borrowing period. Students must pay for any lost materials by the end of each quarter.
When are library materials due?
Books are borrowed for 3 weeks (E-books are borrowed for 2 weeks). Students may renew books for another 3 weeks, unless there is a waiting list for that item. Magazines may be checked out overnight.
All library materials for the 2014-15 school year must be returned by Friday, May 29th for end-of-year inventory.
I am a parent/guardian, what can I do if I'm concerned about the content or reading level of the materials my own child has access to?
Please contact librarian Mrs. Carraba by phone or email (listed below) to discuss your child's use of the schools’ library. Materials at the middle school level have a wide range of reading levels and appropriateness of topic.
